Glamping in Hocking Hills

In honor of my favorite man coming home today after being gone for over a week, I thought I would share some pics from our Glamping Trip to Hocking Hills from a few months ago.

Have you ever heard of Glamping? It was on the Real Housewives of OC this last season, and has been featured in the news lately.

Glamping is glamorous camping. Or in our case, renting a little cabin in the woods as opposed to sleeping in a tent! No sir, no way do I want to sleep in a tent! Ha! We may have not had a 4-star chef, or high quality bed linens, but we did have a great time.

We may have also called this our squatching trip. We have been watching the Big Foot shows on TV and were joking that we needed to go on a squatching trip to see if we could find Big Foot. The squatching trip sounded a little manlier than glamping, so we ended up calling this our Glamping/Squatching Trip.

Hocking Hills is in the south-eastern portion of Ohio and it is truely a great way to unwind and get away from it all. Let me just say that you have to unconnect here as we did not have cell or WiFi service the entire trip! So if you are looking to get away from it all, and are in the Ohio area, it's a great weekend getaway. So let's look at some pics!

Home Sweet Home, for the weekend :)

Over all it was such a nice trip, and the scenery was so beautifut. There were a couple of times we had to pinch ourselves and ask "is this really real?!?" It really looked like something out of a movie. We are totally planning on coming back sometime in the fall when all of the leaves are changing.

  1. Oh, Jen, that all looks and sounds wonderful! You couldn't have helped but have a great time. Great post!

Looks like the same kind of area we enjoyed with our teenage daughters. We camped and visited the caves in northeastern Kentucky in the late 70s.
